Important: To view and manage FINTRAC compliance review items in Finmo, you must have designated "compliance manager" access.

The FINTRAC compliance review page gives compliance managers a centralized view of all deals requiring regulatory review. It consolidates key FINTRAC-related data and statuses into a single, interactive table, making it easier to monitor progress, identify outstanding requirements, and ensure all compliance obligations are met before closing.

Definitions

All information displayed in the FINTRAC compliance review is sourced from the "Fraud & Risk Assessment" section within the deal. Use the definitions below to understand what each column represents and how to interpret the values.

Risk & Assessment

  • FINTRAC Risk Level
Indicates the overall risk rating of the deal: Low, Medium, or High.
This value is set by the broker and pulled from the Overall Risk Level in the Fraud & Risk Assessment tab.

  • Risk Assessment Completed
Shows the percentage of completion of the Fraud & AML Risk Assessment.
This reflects how many required questions have been completed by the broker and helps identify incomplete assessments.

  • Third-Party Determination
Indicates whether the Third-Party Determination field has been completed.

    • Yes: The field has been filled out

    • No: The field is blank

Note: Third Party Determination is a free-text field. The Compliance Review page only confirms whether it has been completed—it does not display or validate the content.

Identity Verification (IDV)

  • IDV Completed
Indicates whether identity verification has been completed for all borrowers on the deal.

    • Yes: All borrowers have at least one IDV record

    • No: One or more borrowers are missing ID verification

  • IDV Method Used
Displays the method(s) used to verify borrower identity.
This is based on the selection made during the "Know Your Client" (KYC) check.

    • Supported methods include:

      • Persona

      • Equifax

      • Government Photo ID

      • Credit File

      • Dual Source

      • Affiliate/Member

Credit Consent Checks

  • All Consents Gathered
Indicates whether all borrowers have provided credit bureau consent.

    • Yes: Consent has been obtained from all borrowers

    • No: At least one borrower is missing consent

  • All Credits Pulled
Indicates whether a credit report has been pulled for every borrower.

    • Yes: Credit reports are available for all borrowers

    • No: One or more borrowers are missing a credit pull
