As a single agent without an assistant, you'll likely only ever need the "Team Admin" role which allows you to do anything in Finmo.  When you create a team and sign up on Finmo, you are automatically given the role of "Team Admin".   This allows you to be able to control and set up the logos, smart docs menu and permissions for anyone on your team.  However, you can invite other team members to join your team and finmo allows you to choose their "Role" and what type of permission that person has within your team.

For example, you may not want your team or assistants to have access to everything in Finmo such as only seeing their own deals. It's easy to give certain members of your team a designated "Role" when inviting them to join your team initially and set their permissions such as if they can pull credit or submit to lenders. You can also change their permissions at any time by going into that team members profile.

We provide you with a few roles out of the box to get started:

  • Team admin - a user with this role can edit team settings, deal settings, and edit all deals within the team and can view team’s analytics and reporting dashboards.

  • Team member - when you invite a user, this is the default role. Team members can edit all deals within the team (but can't see or edit team settings or deal settings).

  • Limited team member- the user on the team will be able to see and edit only the deals assigned to them.

How to invite a team member and set "Roles" and Permissions

When you invite a new team member to join you can set their "Permissions" before they join.

  1. To invite, click on the "gear" icon and select "Team members" on the left menu" and click on "Invite new member"

2. Enter their email address and first and last name

Note: If the person you are inviting already has a Finmo account using the same email, you will not be able to add them to your team. You will have to obtain a different email to invite them with.

3. Select Permissions by checking off "Can submit deals to Lenders", "Can pull credit", and/or "Can review deals for compliance".

Note: Compliance managers will be notified when deals are sent for compliance review, they can review deals and documents and mark them as compliant or not compliant.

4. Then select their "Role" and click on "Invite member"

5. An email invitation will be sent to them asking them to create an account and join you on Finmo.
