Card view is a visual layout of your mortgage pipeline in Finmo. It displays your existing mortgage statuses as columns, with each mortgage file shown as a card.

card view doesn’t change how your pipeline works — it simply makes it easier to see where every deal stands.

Click the red arrow below to watch a short video.

How to switch between views

Finmo lets you choose how you view your mortgage pipeline. You can toggle between:

  • Card view – A visual, column-based layout showing mortgage files as cards

  • List view – A structured list view with rows of mortgage files

  • Column view – A compact column-based layout without cards

Note: You can switch between these views at any time using the view toggle at the top of your pipeline.

1. Click into your deal dashboard by selecting the "hand" icon on your left menu

2. Select the "card view" icon

The card view will now appear on your deal dashboard.

Note: Changing views does not change your data, workflow, or mortgage statuses. It only changes how the same information is displayed.

Finmo remembers your last selected view. If you switch to card view, Finmo will continue to show card view the next time you return to your dashboard.

How does card view work?

Columns = Mortgage Statuses

Each column in Card View represents a mortgage status, such as:

  • New deal

  • Borrower editing

  • In progress

  • Pre-qualified

  • Live deal

  • Submitted

  • Approved

  • Broker complete

  • Funded

  • Cancelled

  • Declined

These are the same statuses available in the mortgage status dropdown menu.

Important:

  • A mortgage can only be in one status at a time.

  • Columns are configurable — you can remove Finmo statuses you don’t use.

  • You can’t add new custom statuses, but you can tailor card view to match how your brokerage works today.

Cards = Mortgage Files

Each card represents an individual mortgage file. On a card, you’ll see key information at a glance, including:

  • File number

  • Borrower name(s)

  • Mortgage amount

  • Deal type (e.g. purchase)

  • Property address (when available)

  • Important dates such as closing date

  • Quick actions like Add note

Note: Clicking on a deal number in a card opens the full mortgage file.

How to move a card to change the deal's status

When a mortgage progresses, you can move it by dragging the card into the next column.

  • Moving a card updates the mortgage status

  • This change is reflected throughout Finmo

  • Reports, workflows, and automations continue to work as expected

Dragging a card is not just visual — it represents a real status change.

  1. Hover over the card you wish to move until you see a "hand" icon.

  2. Drag the card to the column you wish to move it to.

What do the column totals and deal count represent?

At the top of each column, you’ll see:

  • The number of mortgages in that status

  • The total dollar volume for that column

This gives you instant insight into:

  • Where most of your deals are sitting

  • How much volume is in progress or pending

  • What’s approaching funding

Can I search in card view or assign filters?

Yes!

  • Any search or filter you apply will immediately update the cards shown

  • Column totals and deal counts reflect only the mortgages currently visible.

This makes it easy to focus on a subset of deals (e.g. by broker, date, or deal type) and understand volume at a glance

1. Select "Sort" and select which column you'd like to sort on, and/or

2. Select "Filter" and choose which column(s) you'd like to filter

The sort and filter buttons are sticky so will remain until you clear them.

Note: Using search and filters will update the card view and the totals and deal count will reflect whatever you are searching for or filtering on.
