Finmo has introduced a new document renaming feature that allows users to rename files directly within the platform.

Documents uploaded to Finmo often come with unclear or non-descriptive names, such as scan001.pdf. This requires brokers to:

Follow these steps to rename a document after it's been uploaded by a borrower.

1. Navigate to the "Documents" section of the deal and select the document request from your dashboard where a document has been uploaded

2. Click to Review the Document and open the document to verify its contents (if needed). This helps confirm what the document actually is before renaming.

3. Click on the"pencil" icon and type a more descriptive name (e.g., Condo Board Letter).

1. Navigate to the "Documents" section and click on "Broker upload"

2. Select the document you want to upload from your files and upload it into Finmo

3. Once uploaded and saved, click back into the document request and the pencil icon will appear.

4. Click on the"pencil" icon and type a more descriptive name (e.g., Condo Board Letter John Smith).

5. Save Your Changes. The updated file name will now appear as the document name.
