In Finmo you can move documents that may have been uploaded incorrectly between document requests and borrowers. This allows you to organize documents more effectively and ensure each document is stored in its appropriate request with the appropriate borrower assigned.
How to move a document to another borrower's request
Important: If you have accepted the document, you will need to "undo the accept request" before you can move it
1. Navigate to the specific deal where you need to manage documents.
2. Locate the document you wish to move.
3. Click on the document to open and then on the "move" icon
4. Select the request and the borrower you want to move the document to from the list of requested documents.
Note: You must create a new document request if the document to be moved doesn't currently have an active request
5. Confirm the move.
6. The document will now move to the borrower's request you had selected. Click on the document request in the new borrower's section and mark that request as "Accepted"
7. You have the option now to mark the original incorrect doc request as "Needs attention" which will allow the borrower to upload the correct doc, or you can delete that original request if you don't require it.
8. The documents will now display under each borrower correctly

Good practices when moving documents
1. After moving the document, check quickly to ensure it is correctly placed.
2. Accept the document if it meets the requirements or is marked as "Needs attention"
3. Update the client as necessary from within the document section by clicking on "Update borrower"
4. Mark the original incorrect doc request as "Needs attention" which will allow the borrower to upload the correct doc, or you can delete that original request if you don't require it.
