Once your borrower has started an application, or you have started one for them, you can request documents for the deal. If you have "smart docs" turned on this will happen automatically however if you'd like to request a different document manually or a custom doc you can do that.
Note: One borrower must be on the application in order for you to start requesting documents.
How to request a document manually from your borrower
1. Click one the deal you'd like to start collecting documents for
2. Navigate to the Documents tab
3. Click "New Request"ย
4. Choose from the list of documents which documents you would like to request. If you don't see the one you'd like to request, you can create a custom document.
5. Select the borrower you'd like to request the document from or choose multiple borrowers.ย
6. Click "Update borrower(s)" at the top of the screen to send them a list of the requested documents.
An email/text will send with the message and a link that will take them to their Document Portal to upload.
