How to create, edit, duplicate or delete a custom document request

Add custom request, document library

If you don't see the document you need to request from a borrower on the drop down list Finmo provides, you can create your own custom request.

Note: you must be a team admin to access the team settings.

Creating a custom document will allow you to use it for all future deals (it's saved in your document request library).

How to create a custom document request:

  1. Click the "Team Settings" gear icon on the left menu

  2. Select ""Documents" on the left menu

  3. Click on "Document library"

  4. Click on "Add additional request"

5. Fill out the form fields and save your custom document.

6. Your new custom document will now be available to be requested in all deals and you can add it to your Smart Docs menu if you so choose.

You can also do this from the "Document" section of an application by clicking on "New request" and then on the "Create a custom document". You will be taken to the Document library. Follow the steps above to add the custom document.

How to edit, duplicate or delete custom document requests

  1. Click the "Team Settings" gear icon on the left menu

  2. Select "Documents" then choose

  3. "Documents Library" on the left menu

  4. Find the request you want to edit in the list of documents in your library. Expand the custom document request's accordion by clicking the "+" button.

  5. Click the "Edit Details" button.

  6. Make desired changes to the form fields and save.

  7. You can also choose to "Duplicate" or "Delete" a custom document request

NOTE: Editing a document request will translate the changes immediately to all existing instances. For example, let's say you created "Pay Stbs" (a typo) and wanted to correct it to Pay Stubs. Once the edit has been made, the correct document title will show for all borrowers you've already requested the document from.
